ACTIVECOMP™ Real-Time Power Factor Correction (RTPFC) System is a State of the Art Real-Time Thyristor Switched Power Factor (P.F.) and Harmonic Filtration System

Trusted for over 20 years, the ACTIVECOMP™ Real-time Power Factor Correction (RTPFC) System is renowned for its reliability and proven success across industries such as automobile, steel, textile, pharmaceutical, and IT.

The ACTIVECOMP™ Real-time Power Factor Correction (RTPFC) System is engineered for power factor correction and harmonic filtration in industrial environments with fast dynamic or fluctuating loads.

System Configurations

  • Balanced: Designed for networks with three-phase balanced loads.
  • Unbalanced (UB): Suitable for networks with a high density of single-phase loads, such as robotic welding in automobile plants.
  • Hybrid: Ideal for networks containing both balanced and unbalanced loads. The unbalanced configuration compensates for either phase-to-phase or phase-to-neutral loads.

Technical Features

ACTIVECOMP™ is offered in standard configurations with detuning reactors of 5.67%, 7%, 12.5%, or 14%. The system includes a Dual PF Mode, allowing correction of the power factor for both grid and generator supplies.

Special Applications

For networks with high harmonic content or requiring specific tuning frequencies, the ACTIVECOMP™ Tuned System is recommended for enhanced harmonic mitigation.

High Switching Speed

The ACTIVECOMP™ Thyristor Module features rapid switching capabilities, allowing capacitors to be turned “ON” and “OFF” in real-time.

Solid State Reliability

The modules utilize solid state switching elements, enabling dependable, high-speed, and transient-free operation.

Voltage Resistance

With a peak inverse voltage (PIV) of 2200V AC, the modules demonstrate strong resistance to network transients.

  • Inbuilt load manager function with wide range of voltage measurement from 100 to 750 V
  • 3 CT current sensing for optimal and accurate performance of ACTIVECOMP™ system
  • Option for 5A and 1A both secondary CT current sensing
  • Dual Power factor setting for DG and Mains.
  • Front optical port for communication offers connectivity without opening the panel doors.
  • Master slave function for easy addition of any nos. of Stages / banks in future controlled from master controller
  • Optional GSM/GPRS modem modules for email / monitoring functions

Capacitor Banks

Super Heavy Cylindrical type DUCA Power series Capacitor Banks from M/s Ducati Energia s.p.a, Italy are installed as standard in all the ACTIVECOMP™ Systems. The capacitors have rated voltage of 525V or 690V as per the network voltage or the application.
